How to Get Rich Pins on Pinterest (Without Editing Code!)
Okay, so you’re going about your blogger life, just trying to get everything right with Pinterest because it’s a MASSIVE traffic driver, and then bam! It’s asking you to do weird things with the code on your website JUST so you can get rich pins enabled! Say what?!
Well, my friend, I am going to show you how to get rich pins on Pinterest WITHOUT having to edit ANY code! Woohoo!
Step 1: Install Yoast SEO plugin
In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New > and then type “yoast seo” in the keyword box. Click “Install Now.”
Step 2: Make Sure “Advanced settings page” is “Enabled”
Just click “Enabled” to toggl it there, and you’re done! You’re all set to apply for rich pins because the Yoast SEO plugin has set up all your metadata for you.
Step 3: Visit the Rich Pin Validator on Pinterest
Step 4: Paste a link to one of your blog posts
Note: You CANNOT paste the link to your blog, it MUST be a link to a specific blog post. Example: You cannot just put “startablogforprofit.com.” But you CAN paste “startablogforprofit.com/how-to-get-rich-pins-on-pinterest.”
Step 5: Click “Apply now”
Step 6: Wait for an email from Pinterest .
When I tried to apply for rich pins on my other blog, I had huge issues getting approved, which was pretty common at the time. Pinterest had something wonky going on with their system. If it’s been more than 24 hours since you applied for Rich Pins and they’re still not enabled, contact Pinterest Support and ask them what’s up. They will help you out!
