The CREATE Planner is the BEST blog planner I’ve bought.
This detailed, actionable planner was created by blogger extraordinaire Meera Kothand. I tested this out compared to other blog planners and it was by far the best, allowing you to create overarching goals as well as quarterly and monthly goals with detailed action plans. I used this planner before building up my blog to 100,000 pageviews/month.
I have read and highly recommend Ruth Soukup’s How to Blog for Profit: Without Selling Your Soul.
Ruth is the founder of the very popular Elite Blog Academy, and she makes full-time income from her blog. She know’s what she’s doing and she gives very practical, actionable advice in this easy-to-digest book.
I blog on a MacBook Air.
In fact, a MacBook Air is where I do all my work, including freelance writing for clients. Thus far, I’ve found it’s the best laptop for traveling with while working online.
This blog is hosted on
WP Engine SiteGround.
I switched to WP Engine from SiteGround in 2019 because WP Engine is the host highly recommended by a lot of serious bloggers with a lot of monthly traffic. But then I switched BACK to SiteGround in 2020 because I missed SiteGround SO freaking much. I’ve been blogging since 2010 and have used Bluehost, SiteGround, Big Scoots, and WP Engine—and by far, I recommend SiteGround as the number one host for bloggers.
